The people behind
Goholi Pty Ltd Australia and Urban Rhythms T.A.T Sdn Bhd
Malaysia have embarked on a group in alliance (note: not
a GIF ) over that last 5+ years to scope, design and bring
to life 4 projects that directly challenge Facebook, LinkedIn,
YouTube and Brazen Careerists and other world leading social
network platforms.
When we begin
the question was can a small dedicated highly networked
team bring to life not 1 but 4 projects. Yes we can as we
never set a deadline and projects are sectionalized for
secrecy.

Married couple
Chee Sam Chong and Rob Berude make up the structure of Goholi
Pty Ltd is purely a vehicle for their presence in the worldwide
social network software area.

 Chee
Sam Chong known as Margaret is one of those people that
everyone seems to feel comfortable with after 30 seconds
in her presence.
She has an
uncanny ability to analyze a business or person on first
face value meet and greet and has never been wrong.
A sounding board
for the duo clearing the clutter from the deals on table
of which there have been up 20+ deals at any one time.
 Margaret
has a love of food and as any restaurant in Darwin would
know if it's not of acceptable standard back it goes to
the kitchen. I think one to two restaurants must dread us
coming in nowadays. Marg and Rob don't cook so eating out
in Darwin city is a daily priority. They can be seen at
JoJo's renowned Rendezvous cafe in the Star Village on a
Friday lunchtime and their presence can be felt as they
enter a room. Back at her family homes in Malaysia cuisine
is a true art for Margaret as she savors the different Malaysian
and Western cuisine there like a true collector.
Like any woman
shopping is a passion though regret to say it has to be
shopping in her home city of Kuala Lumpur and only branded
names will suffice.
Generous to a fault Margaret
has the biggest heart of any one and when she retires back
to Malaysia soon we can see her philanthropy stylish personality
shine.
 Margaret's
network of industry colleagues does reflect her work history
before she married Rob.
Often Rob asks
for a unusual industry contact in Malaysia and always within
the day a first degree of separation contact is placed before
him without fail.
When a stranger
comments to Rob you must be a multi millionaire Marg replies
"Dollaraire".
Rob Berude
 Rob
grew up in Victoria Australia before moving to Northern
Territory in 1988 to open more electronic shops. Now in
his early 50's he feels life is just beginning though with
work straight stints common over 40 hours at a time his
body doesn't feel the same way though survives on his numerous
cups of 'Dragon' green tea. Rob and Marg married under 10
years ago and it has been the re-invention of Rob in doing
so as his strive for concepts has taken him to a whole new
level of the playing field. His drive and outlook on life
and business is envied and his astute acronym at the board
room table keep his companies signing off on the best offers
constantly.
All the concepts
in the Urban Rhythm stable are created from the mind of
Rob Berude. One an idea takes shape and form Rob then spends
months and visiting 1000's of sites to see if there is a
niche for his idea or any opposition in any way, form or
manner.
Rob Berude is
a strong believer that his people will always make a mistake,
even the same mistake a few times but eventually once the
repetitive strain has set it that particular practice will
become second nature.
 At
their wedding the best man, long time friend and legendry
business partner Rob Turkington the CEO from the influential
Pinnacle Equities stood up to make his 'Best Man' speech
and the opening of was on Rob's network of business contacts
around the world that had to be one of the best he had known.
Groomed in the
art of the 'BDI Deal' (a deal over a billion dollars and
a deal to dominate a sector of a particular industry) over
a decade ago under the strict guidance of a Chinese/Hong
Kong business family dynasty Rob has carried this knowledge
and those contacts with him till today. Actually engaged
twice to the families only daughter and leaving the family
twice with fond affection and relationship still existing
though with a strong dislike for paparazzi and investigative
journalists that did note really excite him though it did
help to a degree but no exception was made to this outback
Northern Territorian. Having spent years learning about
Chinese culture in depth he still can't hold his chop sticks
properly much to the disgust of Margaret. This is why even
today he turns down all requests for interviews from local
journalists even regarding his tourism enterprises.
 An
acknowledged practitioner in the 'Art of War', the ancient
art of Face Reading most business people feel intimidated
in the board room. As the slightest facial gesture can at
times be a indicator to Rob.
His last joint
venture saw the other Malaysian corporations COO Officer
also an expert in the practice of the 'Art of War' make
comment to the effect Rob's actions for UR was simply but
highly complementally 'Very Strategic'.
An ancient art
that western business men seem to neglect to observe.
When consultancy
in East Timor - Timor Leste, Rob's network increased to
a level that could see him bring together a team for a Greenfield
project within 3 months on a major scale. If you know the
Greenfield industry (new projects) you know that's rapid
timing.
Known to send
his trademark present a copy of the 'Art of War' which he
asks every executive under him read and live. His philosophy
on business is simple' he likes Malaysia for business as
in Malaysia the Government listens not just dictates like
elsewhere. Rob feels the opportunities for any IT Company
start up in Malaysia far surpasses any current opportunities
in Australia or Europe as he has looked at both before funding
and creating Urban Rhythms. Rob feels Malaysia is the literal
hidden 'IT jewel of Asia' and with it's business and incalculable
connections it is the biggest networking goldmine in Asia
today and in the near future. Malaysia is not bogged down
by business, red tape and social issues experienced in Australia
and for a IT company such as ours it's paramount we find
the right bird nest to learn to fly from.
Rob's history
varied like the average Australian entrepreneur. Banking,
Software Development, Electronics and Tourism have been
his main 4 areas of work since 1974.
 Food
and Rob go well together whether it be Italian, French and
the perfect hamburger and perfect pizza of which he believes
still has to be invented.
Rob also owns
a the brand Goholi Pty Ltd a industry icon
in the hire business and one of his favourite businesses
where he like to chat to clients which is unusual as investors
and venture capitalists from overseas find it most difficult
to get an appointment yet if you want to chat about a adventure
tour you get him straight away.
This business
is Rob's down time - it's where he get's to talk to around
5,000 adventure travellers every year about their needs
and desires. He also see the social platform everyone takes
to reach his business.
Rob has been
a past in-house speaker on web presence and motivation but
with his social network UR projects under development has
currently refused all public speaking requests.
What makes Rob
different to most entrepreneurs. A few key areas! He is
a avid 'Art of War' theorist and practices it to the greatest
depth in every deal before him, he can read people at a
glance, he appreciates Asia's code of 'Saving Face', Asia's
unspoken rule of 'Business Secrecy', Asia's take on building
the 'Relationship' first before business.
An event that
changed Rob's life was an unprovoked attack on him over
a decade ago from an apparent attempted robbery gone astray.
This left Rob looking at every day as 86,400 seconds and
every 10 second past is 10 seconds you can never get back.
From this let's call it an event Rob was left with severe
migraines till this day where even a glass of wine will
see him excuse himself from the most strategic meetings
without warning. It also left Rob without short term memory
and his office has at last count has 341 sticker notes over
the doors walls and tables. Finally it left Rob with dyslexia.
Thank heavens for spell check and Dragon software.
Though at any
board room meeting or takeover viewing he attends no one
ever can guess as his analytical ability is most amazing
seen his partners witness. Rob looks at business in 3D from
periscope view. With this perceptive he can predict past,
present and future trends to within a decimal point of accuracy.
His body mechanic's therapist requests he teach her as she
had never seen such a principle and it took her 10 steps
back.
Rob likes to
think of it affectingly as 'business savanting'.
People he sees
as world business icons would be such business people as
Yuri Milner of Russia's DST. The man that is changing the
way we source venture capital and Mark Zuckerberg mostly
because he is a opportunist who can pounce on an opportunity
with confidence.
Rob see Venture
Capital as Vulture Capital in the past Rob has been the
standing 'No' vote on 2 occasions with venture capitalist
offers on the UR Boards table before him.
Venture Capitalist's
wish a high return often within a year he has seen, they
INSTALL their director on the board and override traditional
MOU agreements.
The 'DST' Digital
Sky Technologies business model is much more appealing Rob
feels.
Other Dislikes:
People who don't respect the term 'Business relationship'.
Rob's favourite
mode of deal is the basic MOU agreement. The MOU has been
in place at A4WDR, UR and Goholi for years with never a
disagreement.
Nigel
Wong - Malaysia
 Nigel
and Rob have something in common only known to their inner
circle which make them virtual twins when doing business.
 At
a board table recently on a joint venture with a large multi
national corporation both Nigel and Rob didn't take notes
in as they knew each others line of thought, motivation
and direction to a tee.
Yes the deal
was signed 3 months later.

Justin
Wong - Malaysia
Justin is Nigel's
brother. Justin a renowned chef and award winner who joined
us last year to take the place of the one of the founding
fathers. Yankee (Nigel's and Justin's father) was our original
director who passed away after a long illness. One of the
most respected people in Kuala Lumpur he lead a full life
and we today model our business in principle on his shrewd
strategy. Justin is a non-executive director though takes
a daily role in our KL office.
Barrie
A - Darwin
 Barrie
has been a IT support consultant since computers where first
introduced into Australia. In charge of establishing a major
banks IT infrastructure in the Territory in the early days
has seen Barrie work in strategic levels of government and
high level outsourced contracts. Barrie has been one of
Rob's advisors on many an Greenfield project over the last
9 years.
Matt
H - Darwin
 Matt
is Goholi's contracted projects operations strategist. Simply
we couldn't afford him fulltime at his price.
Matt like Margaret
is renowned for getting the job done but also with everyone
liking him at the same time.
Movie star looks
and build; late 30's, understands a schematics at a glance,
lateral thinking trouble shooter. He is the Goholi pin up
chap.
Douglas
McDougal - Middle East
UR and Goholi's
Java script specialist and for the last year now our Middle
East's representative with a Degree in Computer Software
Engineering. Douglas is grinding the Goholi-UR group's teeth
every second with new technology and we just have to keep
saying Douglas take a breath of air for a second. A loyal
and trusted close friend of Nigel Douglas is also a KL boy
at heart but born and bred in Australia.
Michael
Lynn - Sydney office
Michael is now
in charge of our newly appointed Sydney office.
Michael is a
practicing, very experience, licensed and qualified business
coach. Though very selective when approached by new clients.
Michael - Managed
a Team of 1300 people in the field for the companies Multi
faceted Retail Services business. In particular the implementation
of many National companies planograms in all FMCG retailers,
mass marketers , discounters and pharmacy. Also in the past
Michael was Managing Operations and Marketing for sales
of AU$700,000,000.00 per year. His resume is so impressive
Rob stopped reading it after the first paragraph. Rob and
Michael go back a decade plus to working on land banks with
the Hong Kong family dynasty Rob was with to later deals
in overseas Greenfields and existing trade.
Michaels network
of business contacts is like Rob's so extensive he has had
massive amounts of trouble keeping tack.
Sabrina
Lee - Malaysia
Sabrina is our
reservations manageress and she can read Rob like a book.
She has a master in dyslexia she admits as trying to read
Rob's emails after he has worked 42 hours straight without
sleep on a natural high with a new idea can be daunting
she admits. Qualified in law we feel she will be head hunted
soon as she wishes to embark on a career in law. We obviously
asked her to enter into commercial law as we will need very
lawyer we can.
Paulo
Araujo and Tchia Oliveira - Timor Leste
 Paulo
Araujo and Tchia Oliveira are our Timor Leste partners for
Consultancy on Timor Leste Greenfield projects. Paulo Araujo
has multiple university qualifications in Town Planning
and Law. Tchia Oliveira university qualifications in Banking
and Economics.
Both Paulo Araujo
and Tchia Oliveira are close family friends of Rob and Marg
and have worked on previous projects over the years with
Timor Leste are their core project business. Timor Leste
is like many small nations you are often related in sum
way to everyone within 500 KLM. Paulo's wife has just had
a baby and Paulo is very a proud dotting dad.
Ron
Guthol - Thailand
Ron has been with Rob's Goholi
group on a contracted basis since studying graphic arts
Charles Darwin University and along with his degree in fine
arts Ron has completed graphics that are amazing.
